Salimos de Don Det (Laos) en dirección Siem Riep (Camboya) ya agitadas por la mala prensa que tiene ese cruce fronterizo por las estafas y por nuestra experiencia anterior cruzando Tailandia-Laos por tierra. Compramos los billetes de ferry y autocar para todo el trayecto, que ha sido de los más caros que hemos pagado (38$ desde Don Det a Siem Reap).
Salimos a las 8 de la mañana y llegamos las 8 de la tarde. Las carreteras de estos dos países no son de las mejores, hay mucho tramo apenas sin asfaltar con camino de tierra y los transportes son muy ajustados. Todas esas horas, éramos 13 personas (más el equipaje) embutidas en una minivan de 9 plazas.
Superamos el reto del programa “Qué apostamos” en dónde se metían no sé cuántas personas en un seiscientos
Meri iba compartiendo un asiento, culo sudao con culo resudao, con otra viajera e Irene en el maletero con las mochilas -a elección del conductor por ser la más pequeña de estatura- como si fuera un llavero. Encima el aire acondicionado no funcionaba y aquello olía a pan con mantequilla, pero de la podrida. Vaya puto cuadro!
La verdad que lo que fue el paso fronterizo, cero problemas. Sí que es cierto que te intentan sacar unos cuantos dólares como sea, pero nos hicimos las ninjas y todo bien. Lo hacen de dos formas: Una es por medio de una supuesta compañía que, antes de subir al autocar, te cuenta que la frontera es muy corrupta y te van a estafar así que te proponen, por 3 dólares más, que ellos te hacen el trámite al llegar al paso fronterizo. Nosotras no lo hicimos ya que tenías que entregarles el pasaporte y te lo devolvían una vez cruzada la frontera, y la verdad que no nos hizo mucha gracia.
La otra, es un supuesto control médico que no sirve absolutamente para nada, te toman la temperatura con un termómetro que no funciona y te ponen el típico palito en la boca para mirarte la garganta. Te cobran un dólar y te dan un papelito de color amarillo que, al final, te sirve de recordatorio de lo pringao que fuiste por pagar esa estafa!
Al final, nos salió bien la jugada y pagamos justo lo que había que pagar, 3 dólares para salir de Laos y 35 dólares para el visado de un mes en Camboya.
